The National Weather Service has issued Wind Chill Warnings for every county in the KDMA listening area, effective until noon on Thursday, January 31. Wind chills are expected to fall to 25 to 35 below zero tonight and Tuesday morning. Dangerous wind chills as low as 65 below zero are expected Tuesday morning through Thursday morning in western and central Minnesota.

The National Weather Service is encouraging motorists to travel with a winter survival kit, including warm clothes, boots, blankets, a flashlight with extra batteries, and food. They also recommend motorists always carry a charged cell phone and tell others of their travel plans.
