Forty nine year old Darin Rahm was charged with theft, embezzling public funds, and financial transaction card fraud yesterday in Lyon County District Court. He worked formerly as the director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau in Marshall, but was terminated in June when an internal audit revealed financial irregularities. He is accused of using “phantom” vendor accounts to steal more than 250 thousand dollars from the Bureau over a four year period. His next court date is set for February 19.
