Residents of the Dawson-Boyd School District voted yesterday to pass a $22.7 million dollar bond referendum. 452 voted “yes”, 355 voted “no.” The funding will be used for security upgrades, remodeling, and expansion to accommodate for a 17 percent rise in enrollment. A $35 million dollar referendum in the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton school district also passed yesterday. 985 voted “yes”, 575 voted “no.” The funding will be used for the construction of a new pre-K to 12th grade school.
