The first day of school for students enrolled in the Montevideo School District is Monday, August 26. Below, find all the information you need to make your student’s first day a success. ORIENTATION – TUESDAY, AUGUST 20
MHS orientation for 8th graders and all new students will take place from 2 to 3pm. 8th grade Chromebook distribution will take place from 1:30 to 2pm. MHS open house will take place from 3 to 6pm.
MMS 4th grade orientation will take place from 12 to 12:30pm. MMS open house will take place from 12 to 3pm.
Sanford open house will take place from 2:30 to 5pm. Ramsey open house will take place from 10 to 1pm. Parents/guardians of kindergarten students should have received an email with orientation scheduling information. No bus transportation will be available for orientation. Parents are asked to attend with their student to learn about school procedures.
MMS and Ramsey students will have their school pictures taken during orientation on Tuesday, August 20. MHS picture day is Wednesday, August 28. Sanford picture day is Friday, September 6.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL – MONDAY, AUGUST 26
The school day will begin at 8:14am at the high school, 8:15am at the middle school, and 8:10am at Ramsey and Sanford. Enrollment is up slightly this year, with a total enrollment of 1435 students.
Clark Transportation buses will operate the same routes and schedules as last year. Adjustments to the schedule may be made after the first day of school. Call Rollie Clark at 320-269-7427 with any questions.
