The Montevideo City Council met at 7pm at City Hall on Monday, October 21.
A few takeaways:
- Police officers Cody Odegard and Angela Milo were sworn in at the beginning of the meeting.
- The council approved an application for city property use by Arnie Solomon/Audacious Hope for use of Smith Park on June 26 and 27 for a Christian music festival. The event will be free to the public.
- The council approved an addendum to an independent contractor agreement with Steve Jones to provide work on the city levee project. The new addendum extends the agreement through June 30, 2020. Jones will work to finalize the Railroad Closure Agreement with TC&W Railroad and acquisition of Section 3B properties.
- The council adopted Ordinance No. 955, a zoning amendment which will allow single-family dwellings within an R3 Multi-Family (High-Density) District.
