The Tri-County COVID Medical Center (TCMC) stands ready should there be a high volume of COVID-19 patients needing hospitalization in Chippewa, Lac qui Parle (Lak kwa Par-uhl) and Swift counties. TCMC, which was scheduled to open March 30, 2020, was notified by the State Health Care Coordination Center that it will need to postpone its opening until there is a determination that the facility has been selected by the MN Department of Health as the MN Southwest region’s Alternative Care Site.  Further updates regarding TCMC will be provided through Appleton Area Health’s Public Information Officer.
