(Granite Falls, MN) — According to a press release, on Tuesday evening the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a possible fight in Hazel Run.  While deputies were responding to the scene, the 911 caller told the dispatcher that the two people involved in the altercation got into a grey Toyota 4-Runner and left heading west out of Hazel Run.  Deputies located the vehicle a short time later and attempted to stop the vehicle and it took off at a high rate of speed.  A pursuit was initiated and lasted about 23 minutes ending in the city of Granite Falls. 

The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and was found a short time later.  The driver was a juvenile and was taken to Prairie Lakes Youth Programs in Willmar.  The passenger was detained and interviewed and later released.  No injuries were reported from the pursuit.

No other information is available at this point as the investigation relating to the original reason for the call is ongoing.
