(Cold Spring, MN) — A central Minnesota bar owner is planning to open up six of his businesses to dine-in customers on Monday, May 18th even if the Governor extends the Stay-At-Home order. Kris Schiffler is the owner of Shady’s locations in New Munich, Rice, Albany, Burtrum, Cold Spring, and St. Martin. Schiffler and other business owners voiced their concerns at an Albany City Council meeting:

Schiffler says he’s been in contact with the Albany Chief of Police and with officials from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office. Schiffler says he does plan on practicing social distancing and will look at removing anywhere from 20 to 40 percent of the seating space in all 6 of his bars and restaurants.
