(WOOD LAKE, MN) –- The mayor of Wood Lake penned a letter to Governor Tim Walz asking him to allow small businesses to re-open in order to breathe life back into the local economy. Mayor David Stelter says the executive orders have already done irreparable damage to bars, casinos, restaurants, salons, gyms, churches, and to a wide variety of small businesses.

Stelter also said that its easier for small towns across Minnesota to comply with CDC guidelines and that local small businesses are less of a risk than the big box stores which have been allowed to remain open.

In the letter, Stelter also questioned the constitutionality of the executive stay at home order and asked the governor not to ignore the request.
