(Montevideo, MN) — Numbers in this morning from the Minnesota Department of Health show just under 22,000 cases of COVID-19 in the state. 899 Minnesotans have now died from the virus with a vast majority of those coming from assisted living and long-term facilities. Cases in Kandiyohi County reached 471 as of 11:00 a.m. this morning.
Locally, there are 42 cases in Chippewa County, 16 in Swift, 6 in Yellow Medicine, and 3 in Lac Qui Parle County. Across the state over 15,500 people have recovered from the virus.
