Hot, dry weather condtions are ideal for fires to spread rapidly

(Chanhassan, MN) — According to the National Weather service, today’s forecast is ideal for critical fire conditions across west central and southwestern Minnesota. Temps will be in the upper 90’s to near 100 with wind gusts out of the south as high as 45 miles per hour. Paired with low relative humidity, these conditions will combine to produce the critical fire conditions through tonight and tomorrow. People are asked to heed the instructions of state and local officials with respect to any burning activities.
