(Albany MN-) A child was rescued from a liquid manure pit in Stearns County Monday night. The Sheriff’s department says at 8 p.m. Monday they were called to a farm in the 22000 Block of 300th Street in Farming Township near Albany, where a 2-year-old child had fallen into a liquid manure pit. When Albany Fire and Rescue arrived, they found the boy about 1 foot from the edge of the pit, with both legs and right arm submerged. One of the Albany Rescue team members tied a rope around their waist and was able to reach him and pull him out. He was not injured. Melrose Ambulance and Albany Police Department assisted with the rescue.
