(Montevideo, MN) — According to the Minnesota State Patrol, two people were injured in a motorcycle accident near Montevideo over the weekend.

The state patrol says at around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, 62-year-old Mark Appelhof of Clear Lake, South Dakota, was driving his 2007 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Highway 212 southeast of Montevideo when he crashed while avoiding a deer.

He and his passenger, 64-year-old Audrey Appelhof, were taken to the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital with non-critical injuries.
