Minnesota continues to lead the nation with a 72.1 percent self-response rate for the 2020 U.S. Census, with 60.5 percent being done via the internet. The national self-response rate is averaging at 62.7 percent. Wisconsin is closely behind Minnesota with a 69.4 percent rate.

As for regional counties, Kandiyohi has a 67.4 percent self-response rate, Chippewa has 70.5 percent, Yellow Medicine has 69.7, Lac qui Parle has 66.6, Meeker at 67.4, Renville at 67, Swift at 67.9 and Pope County trailing the region with 58.6 percent.
