An Ortonville woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday afternoon in Swift County.
A Peterbilt tractor/trailer driven by 28 year old Titus Samuel Wipf of Aberdeen, South Dakota, was eastbound on Highway 12. A Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 46 year old Shannon Lee Scoblic of Ortonville, also eastbound on Highway 12, was attempting to turn into a rest area when the Peterbilt driver said he reached for an aerosol can, looked up and saw the Pontiac turning and swerved to avoid hitting the car. But he hit the Pontiac anyway, causing it to spin and go into the ditch.
Scoblic was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis with non-life threatening injuries. Assisting the State Patrol were the Swift County Sheriff’s Office, Appleton Fire Department and Appleton Ambulance.
