Yellow Medicine County announced new areas of eligibility for their Coronavirus Relief Grant program for county-based businesses and non-profits. These grants are designed to provide immediate relief to businesses and non-profits to help them remain in operation through the COVID-19 pandemic.
These new areas include rent/mortgage payments and a variety of utility expenses incurred by businesses and non-profits between March 1 and October 15, 2020 if the applicant certifies the adverse impact they had as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It also allows for the utilization of proposals or quotes as an official means of receiving a grant award but will require final cost documentation from applicants as a follow up.
Grant awards will be awarded on a first come first serve basis with a maximum grant award of $20,000. These new items will become eligible in the round 2 grant cycle that begins on September 16 and ends October 15.
All Yellow Medicine County businesses and non-profits organizations with a physical location, whether owned or leased, in Yellow Medicine County, and who have COVID-19 related expenses that have not been reimbursed already through another state or federal program, are encouraged to review the complete guidelines and application process on the county website www.co.ym.mn.gov.
