With a lot of things cancelled or postponed this year, you can still celebrate October and have a great Halloween season. A tradition I have followed for many years is called the “31 Days of Halloween”.  The idea is you watch a different scary, horror, Halloween, etc movie each night.  The fun part is how you select which movies to watch.  Another fun thing to do is really mix up the movies.  Don’t just watch movies from the same sub-genre.  Mix in a good 80’s horror film with a Tim Burton animated movie and also try at least three movies you have never seen before.  I mentioned the fun part is how you select your movies.  This can be done several ways.  A randomizer can make it interesting and take the tough decision making aspect out of it.  Once you have a group of movies, you can go on a site like www.random.org and help select what movies to watch on a given day.  If you need help selecting some movies, I have listed some of my favorites that will make you have a spooky and fun Halloween season!

Some of these are parts of franchises, so if you have a favorite in the franchise (for me, Hatchet II is the best of the four films in that franchise), pick your favorite OR binge the franchise!  You can even have watch parties with your close friends and families.  This is my FAVORITE month out of the year and I have been watching a different (sometimes multiple) “October Themed” movie every night in October since I was a kid.  Have fun, mix it up and remember there are a truckload of different scary or horror or Halloween movies streaming this time of year.  Hit the random button and try something new that you have never seen or even heard of!  Haunted Houses may or may not be operating this year.  So practice your distancing by watching movies about them!  Happy watching and happy Halloween!
