ARLINGTON, Texas – The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo features some of the nastiest bulls and liveliest horses in rodeo. It takes a special kind of human to jump on the back of those animals and hang on for dear life. Tanner Aus of Granite Falls is one of them. Aus is back at the National Finals Rodeo, or NFR, for the fifth time in six years. The two times he’s had a solid chance to cash in this year, he’s done so, to the tune of $54,000 so far.
The NFR is taking place inside Globe Life Field this year, home of the Texas Rangers. Aus doesn’t mind the change of scenery from Las Vegas, saying, quote, “We’re having fun. This place is amazing. They have done a lot to accommodate us, and they are making it work.”
He has three more nights remaining on this ProRodeo season, and he hopes the right horses can help him cash in even more during the 2020 National Finals Rodeo.
